You may not want to admit it, but at some point in your life, you will no longer be independent.  You'll have to rely on others.  You must plan for this.

Estate planning is not printing off random forms from the Internet.  It's a process of knowing the exact legal wording to use and how to structure your affairs so that your wishes are carried out.  This type of knowledge requires years of schooling and experience.  Don't do it alone!  Hire a lawyer.
